What is the difference between an IPod and MP3 player?
What is the real difference between an MP3 player and an iPod, and what kind of music makes it work? I think I have heard of MP3 and MP4 types of music. What is the difference between these types of music (if they exist, and I dream of them). Thanks for any response you may give!

An IPOD is an exclusive product of Apple. It essentially is an MP3 player, but Apple exclusive. If you want to use the ITunes website, you must have the IPod. MP3’s are made by all companies, Sony, Samsung, etc……… The IPod is really just Apple’s version of an MP3 player.

MP4 can store more stuff with it like lyrics n stuff…
Normally if you c a device calling itself an MP4 it is usually just Video and Audio, when a normal MP3 can only play Audio. So practically Ipod is an MP4 player because it can also play Videos, store lyrics, comments, photos etc. to songs.

iPod is a name of an MP3 player manufactured by Apple Inc., while other players are just called different things like Microsoft’s Zune.
The iPod’s touch wheel is a special navigation feature. Other players cannot have this. Imitation iPods are built with a slightly different click wheel.
An iPod does not have features like FM Radio, which may be found on some other MP3 players.
An iPod does not have a SD card slot (so far) or any other form of expandable memory.
An iPod cannot play .wma, wmv formats.
